As clinicians, one of our primary goals is to provide a safe space for our clients. How do we ensure we are not inadvertently triggering a trauma response when working with kids? How can we bring a trauma-informed approach to all of our interactions? In this episode, Shonda sits down with Sarah Dennehy and Melanie Smith of Shanthi Project, an education nonprofit providing evidence-based mindfulness services to more than 4,000 children and adults annually across the Greater Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Learn some practical mindfulness tools and therapeutic applications easily adapted to all populations.
